The card covers travel with SL 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the County of Stockholm.
The Student Travelcard is available for 30 or 90 days.
Remember your ID card and student ID when travelling
A Student Travelcard on an SL Access card is not linked to a particular individual and you need not be a student to purchase the travelcard.
However, when travelling and at ticket inspections, you should be prepared to show your ID card and a valid student ID or temporary SL certificate. Remember that you must have a valid student ID for the entire period that your Student Travelcard is valid. If your student ID runs out during the term, you need to obtain a new one before you can continue to use your Student Travelcard.
Accepted student ID cards are the "CSN" card, "Studentkortet" and "Mecenatkortet". All approved forms of student ID bear the SL logo.
New student without an ID?
If you are a new student, you can get a temporary SL certificate issued by your student union in your first term. To get an SL certificate, you need to provide the student union with a signed registration form from your college or an extract from the LADOK register stating that you study at least 75 percent of full-time. Some student unions charge a fee for issuing an SL certificate. The certificate is valid until you get your regular student card or a maximum of 60 days from issue.

Online purchase
You can buy your Student Travelcard for 90 days online here at sl.se. Your card will be delivered free of charge by post. Please note that to make a purchase at sl.se you need a credit card issued by a Swedish bank.

Protect against loss or theft
If you are a permanent resident with a Swedish personal ID-number ("personnummer") you can protect your SL Access card against loss or theft.
Just register your SL Access card through Mitt SL, sl.se's user account. The card - and its contents - is then protected if it is lost or stolen. Simply report it missing through Mitt SL and thus cancel the card. You will be sent a new card with the same content to your home address.
Use the links to the left to create a new account or log in to one you already have.
Exchanges and refunds
If, for some reason, you regret your purchase, we will refund you the cost of your Student Travelcard, if the validity period hasn't started yet. You will get the whole amount back.
You can upgrade a 30 day ticket to a 90 day ticket. A sum of 37 SEK will be deducted from the 30 day ticket for each day the ticket has been valid. The remaining sum can be used for part payment for the 90 day ticket.
Tickets can be exchanged or refunded at an SL Center and the commuter rail stations.
